Flag, optional

Work in rows. Start with light blue: 18 CH plus 1 turning chain.

Rows 2-5: 18 SC. Change to white for rows 6-9: 18 SC. Change back to light blue for rows 10-13: 18 SC.

Continue at one end with 14 CH, return over them with 14 SLST, crochet 18 SC over the flag, and at the other end make 14 CH and return with 14 SLST. Close with 1 SLST, cut and hide the yarn.
